Did you know that there is a website that allows you to completely customize all your wedding stationeries? From invites, to save the dates, to thank you cards, and so much more, Basic Invite allows you  to fully customize your special event products! The options for your designs are endless and can be completely unique to your event.
I recently teamed up with Basic Invite to share the behind the scenes of creating a personalized design and also share the final products of my creations. I believe whole heartedly that every bride and groom deserves the chance to have the perfect invitations that reflect on the relationship and their big day. Everyone is different and of course have different style preferences, so that's why being able to customize your wedding Invites is so amazing!
For this post I wanted to share some things I absolutely love about being able to bring my  wedding stationery creations to life. I also will be sharing 3 completely different examples of designs to show how truly customizable & unique Basic Invite allows you to be.

Color Options

One of the most amazing things about Basic Invite is that they have so many color options, 180 to be exact! These colors can be applied very easily to text, graphics, and backgrounds with a simple click. The layout for picking colors is so simple, which is something I love. All the colors are sorted out into groups, so finding that perfect shade of green only takes seconds. Plus when you pick your template it comes with the colors attached to fonts and graphics so if you just need to change the color of the text, you can choose to change only the text by selecting the part you want to change.
Also, some of the templates they offer come with the option to add foil. I'm a huge fan of anything and everything rose gold, so when I saw they offered rose gold foil I got ahead of myself and started design our wedding invitations for November.

So Easy To Use

When I first went to start planning out wedding stationeries to share with you all, I was getting a little overwhelmed by ALLLLL the options of templates and colors and fonts. I like to think of myself as somewhat of a perfectionist. So with all of these different things available to me I was thinking it was going to get crazy. It's safe to say how wrong I was. If you know the theme your looking for it makes it even easier. They have a little drop down box with all sorts of themes you can explore to find that perfect template.
I found a template I absolutely adored and just started playing with all the different elements. Each theme I picked to share has a completely different group of elements (fonts, text sizes, layouts, etc). I knew I wanted shades of green and leafy graphics in my romantic themed Invites. I wanted a simple, yet eye catching layout for a Las Vegas theme. And a classy, yet fun color scheme and easy graphics for a beach/ destination theme. Doing all of this was so so so simple, I can't stress how easy and fun it was to create a unique design of my own.

Ability to Keep Things Cohesive

The most beneficial aspect Basic Invite has to offer is the ability to keep things cohesive within all your announcements and invites. Keeping all the wedding stationeries looking like they fit perfectly together is something I'm all for. I don't want my RSVP cards looking nothing like my Invites, or my Program looking any different from all the other items I have already delivered to my guest. It all has to fit together and have that  perfect flow.
With Basic Invite finding that flow is so simple. When you find a dreamy template that you simply adore and after you play with all the elements, Basic Invite gives you more options from the same theme. So if you pick a romantic theme with flower graphics, they will give you suggestions on RSVP cards, Reply cards, Save the dates, and so many other things that match the theme you chose. Of course you don't have to go with any of those, but it does help a lot if you want to keep a cohesive theme.
Now, I want to share 3 different themes I came up with to share with you all! Each of them is very very different , but I wanted to show that no matter your theme, you'll be able to find the perfect stationeries for your big day.

LAS VEGAS

I thought Las Vegas would be fun to share, like Las Vegas themed save the dates and thank you cards. All the glamour and lights sure are mesmerizing. However, I went with a more classy look for these invites. Simple black background with a skyline of Vegas. I adjusted the colors to be more creamy colored so it wasn't such a huge contrast, but all of those can be customized, so your skyline can be red or blue. It's all up to your imagination and what you like.
For the registry card and reply card I picked the template Basic Invite suggested for the theme. I think the fun design on both of these helped create that glamorous side of Vegas. The Thank you card and save the date were more classy. Anyone getting married in Las Vegas would love to have such unique cards to show the simplistic beauty in the city. I did also want to mention the backs can also be customized, but I did these in just plain black.

TROPICAL / DESTINATION

A destination wedding was something I really wanted at the very beginning of my engagement. After months of deliberation, Cameron and I convinced ourselves that we would much rather have a wedding somewhere close. However, if I was still wanting to plan a wedding somewhere tropical, these stationeries would be the ones I would go with. They are very moody with a bit of tropical flare. The tropical plant designs really make these look like a true destination wedding without all the rainbow colors of summer and beaches. Don't get me wrong, I'm drawn to anything colorful, but for a more elegant style wedding going with a clean color will truly grasp the mood for your wedding. I actually didnt change any of the colors for this design because I like the deep Eucalyptus green color with the splashes of bright palm leaves. All of this can be changes so if you want a lighter background then you can choose from the 179 other colors they offer, just play with it and have fun. I also wanted to mention that the save the date I picked is actually a magnet. You can do just paper or a magnet so keep an eye out that your designing the type of material you want.

ROMANTIC

For the last theme, I wanted to share something more like what I would choose for my wedding. Since We're getting married in a garden, I thought it would be perfect to have a little bit of a nature design within my Invites and announcements. So I went with a clean design and adjusted the greens to be a little darker to fit my style more. I played with the fonts to find the perfect one that captured the aesthetically pleasing way the "N"s in our date seem to just blend so well together. I also added in some of our engagement photos, taken by Melinda Underwood Photography, to really bring these beautiful templates to life. On these ones I did add photos to the back because I wanted to dress them up more and I know our guests would love to see some of our photos. I do recommend adding in pictures to your statonieries. It will really make it more personal and it will bring a whole new vision to the work you just created.
I did want to let you know that you can get some writing put on the back of these. Basic Invite already had a little paragraph typed up "A Note From The Happy Couple" that I decided to add to the back of the Save the date card because it was just too dang cute ( I won't lie, it made me get a little emotional).
