We all know that all good things must come to an end eventually. July is just about over and that means next week starts August. I can not believe this! It's time to start shopping for our fall outfits and getting our back to campus styles ready. Although August is still really hot I'm ditching my summer colors and transitioning into more fall inspired colors, while keeping my wardrobe light weight and cool. It's crazy to think about fall already but it's never too soon to start hunting for the cutest booties and the most stylish jackets.
Now, for my last July blog post for this year I wanted to find a style that did a little summer to fall transition. This is what a lot of my August & September styles will be. August is still way too hot to completely jump into leather jackets and blanket scarves, so I'm working on transitioning colors first. Goodbye bright color & hello darker shades! The best colors to go for are burnt yellow, rust, navy blue, army green, and cream. These replace the lighter & brighter shades we are drawn to in the summer.
For those "in between months" we want to start the transition, but it's important to not jump right from summer shorts to fall knee high boots. Especially if you live in Ohio. Nothing is more fickle than Ohio weather.
So, when shopping think about what you would want to wear for those months were fall fashion is starting but its too hot to completely break out your sweaters . Go for a small transition first because that will be most comfortable and still stays with the fashion trends for fall.
Happy shopping!
