When it comes to finding basic pieces I'm your girl! I'm always catching myself picking up a basic tee or dress from any store I walk into. I'm trying to not buy so many basics, but I can't help to go crazy about styling a basic piece. It's just so fun to come up with so many stylish looks. Especially for fall!
With fall just around the corner I'm styling my basics to create the perfect cozy and chic fall looks. Right now I'm crushing on neutrals for fall. Anything tan or camel colored I'm drawn to...Well anything fall colored I'm drawn to, HA! But a soft colored outfit is the perfect way to go into the fall season without full force jumping in. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for jumping right into my fall wardrobe, but not everyone is and that's okay. So if you like to ease your way into your fall wardrobe, Neutrals are the way to go.
One thing I absolutely love about neutrals for fall is that those olive green and burgundy colors really pop. Which means any soft shade piece will come to life for the fall season and will look so amazing. You can add as many fall colors as you want to a neutral colored piece and it will turn out looking so great (and festive)! Making those fall colors pop is one of my favorite things about putting together the perfect fall outfit, I'm just a sucker for all the shades of fall. Dark shades look amazing on those soft neutral shades, that's why I'm loving this whole camel colored trend! Its a classy clean look for fall. I would recommend stocking up your wardrobe with anything and everything camel colored, ha!
The other day I came across the perfect basic tank dress and instantly thought of all the ways I could style this baby for fall. A chunky knitted burgundy cardigan is the first thing that popped in my head, but then I tried it with my camel colored long cardigan and fell in love with the neutral on neutral. This look came together to make a great pre-fall look, especially for someone who likes to ease into fall styles. I added in a pair of white booties to keep everything looking soft.
I can't wait to see what other ways this dress can be styled. Next time I'm going for the pop of color look to make it even more fall inspired.
Are you more of a " jump right into fall" type of person or do you like to ease into it? Let me know in the comments!
