HAPPY AUGUST!
Can you believe we are already in August?! It seems like we were just starting to plan our summer and now it's already time to start looking for pieces for fall, crazy right?!  Not like I'm complaining because fall weather and fall styles are my favorite so I'm getting pretty excited!
Now that we're at that point of summer where things start to gear more toward fall I wanted to share some tips on how to start that transition in your wardrobe. I'm crazy about fall so it takes everything in me not to just switch everything out for boot and scarves and sweaters. Since the weather is still crazy hot & humid I'm transitioning things little by little.

First things first, don't pack anything away yet. Pre-fall wardrobes can consist of summer pieces too. A lightweight, knitted, chunky sweater can look fabulous with a pair of cut off shorts. It's the perfect look for an evening out or even for doing something outdoorsy like camping or bonfires. Also sandals can work with jeans. I love busted out knee jeans with sandals just as much as I love them with an adorable pair of booties. Before you replace those sandals with boots, just know sandals are perfect for those pre-fall outfits.

Jeans are starting to become a big thing right about now. With School approaching jeans start to come out of hibernation. I love jeans more than shorts so I get a lot more use out of jeans this time of year, plus there are so many colors, fits, and washes to choose from. I'm a sucker for darker washes ( black is my favorite) but I also love fun colors like olive green and burgundy. While all these jeans start to come out in all the stores be on the lookout for fun fall colors to get that perfect fall look while wearing a basic tee or light cardigan/ jacket.

A light weight pull-over would be the perfect addition to that pre-fall wardrobe. Again, with school approaching a pull-over would be perfect for those freezing cold class rooms or even those offices that seem to be below zero ( I hope my co-workers are reading this because they know what I'm talking about HA!) . For me, I wear them around my apartment all day while I work because I love cozy pull overs. Plus for some reason our apartment is super cold, well until about 4:00 pm then all the sudden it's like the pits of hell, kinda like how my classes were in High school. LOL. Even better, pullovers make it feel like I'm in pajamas when in reality I'm dressed up. YES!

Lastly, I would say the best pre-fall accessory to have is a neckerchief . Get one that's a little darker or rust colored or just fall colored. You can wear it around your neck or in your hair and it adds a charming little touch of fall to any outfit. I wear them through every season but if you find a color ( or colors because more is better)  that goes with the season then accessorizing for that season is super simple. I love neckerchiefs for this in between season because a big knitted/ chunky scarf is a little too much, so these make a perfect lightweight accessory.

As always I've linked everything below, just click the product photo to shop right from here. Also I would love to hear if you all have any suggestions for August posts you would like to see. I hate to fully jump into fall, so I would love to mix it up between the season. Let me know what you all like to see!
