How to Wear Rompers in the Fall

It's no secret that rompers are my all time favorite thing to wear (aside from pajamas of course HA!). But this time of year I start noticing all the rompers fading away to make room for the fall favorites, like chunky knitted sweaters and cozy pullovers. Don't get me wrong I love all those things as well. But I also really hate to see rompers just go away for the colder seasons. There's not too much to worry about right now since we're only in August, but it's coming & it's coming quick. Fall is right around the corner!

Since we're in this pre-fall time right now, I'm looking for ways to get that fall wardrobe glow without fully diving into heavy sweaters and knitted scarves. One way to do that is finding a romper that can be accessorized for fall.

I found this hunter green, chiffon sleeved romper buried in my closet and I knew this could be the perfect transitional piece. It has all the easy, breezy, lighwieghtedness for summer. Yet the colors and accessorizing can be focused more on getting the perfect fall look. Rompers can be the perfect piece for transitioning if you have a fall oriented color or pattern. It can be so easy to style rompers to look like they're autumn ready while it's still so hot out.

When trying to get that fall look it's all about the accessories! For this look I went for brown tones to keep that naturally simple fall color scheme. I went with a pair of short ankle booties. Although they are booties, it was not uncomfortable wearing them out in the 80 degree weather because they barely touch the ankle. It's like wearing a pair of sneakers, just more stylish & with a heel. HA! I also added my infamous cognac tote because it's the only brown bag I currently own & it's the perfect color for fall. Plus the size is great for literally anything. I could put my dog in here  it it wouldn't break my shoulder carrying him around everywhere. However, the accesories options are endless,  like adding a scarf or hat ( maybe when it cools down a bit more).

I've linked some options on this look below, that way you too can get the fall glow while it's still summer, and these pieces can carry over to fall, just play with the accessories and add in more on those colder days.
