Follow Me To: The Caribbean (Part One)

For over a year I have been planning a cruise vacation for my boyfriend's birthday. Finally after 14 long months we got to set sail all aboard Royal Caribbean International's Allure of the Seas. First I have to say this ship was huge, the second largest cruise ship in the world, so you can only imagine how amazed we were when we saw a carousel, its own Central park, and 16 floors of fun filled activities. After boarding we of course explored every level and got to know our home for the next 7 days. With a raspberry daiquiri in hand and the 85 degree weather I knew this was paradise.
PACKING: Packing for anything is a struggle in itself because you never know what you want to wear until you get to where you're going and start your day. So knowing I would be on a cruise for 7 days plus a 20 hour drive to Port Everglades it only seemed reasonable to pack 21 different outfits, right? I may have over packed and still regret having to pull my extremely heavy suitcase through customs, but at least I knew I would have plenty of options. Also, two outfits per day is reasonable because we would spend the whole day walking around and getting sweaty so when dinner came around we would have to change into a more formal & clean wardrobe. So yes, I may have packed a lot but when packing options are very important.
DAYS AT SEA: we were supposed to have 3 day at sea but ended up with 4 because of weather conditions we could not get off on one of our stops. I wont complain though because days at sea meant grabbing a seat close to the pool and laying out to get that golden tan or that red lobster burn. However, Royal Caribbean did a great job at having tons of activities for their guests when out at sea. Rock climbing walls, zip lining, boogie boarding, and ice skating were just a few of the things Royal Caribbean had for all ages to enjoy. Plus at night you could watch driving shows at the Aqua Theater or Broadways' Mama Mia in the Amber Theater. They also had shows were their guest got to interact like "Love & Marriage" and "Quest", these two shows were for 18+ and probably the funniest game shows I've ever watched.
With a ship so large and with so many things for people to do I have to say I was not disappointed. I hated having to leave and go back to the real world, but I did want to get home to see my puppy and my neice. Below I'm going to share pics of the ship and one of my favorite outfit I got for this cruise. Also stay tuned this week for PART 2 of my Royal Caribbean adventures and see pics of our two stops. I will link Allure cruise ship below so you can't start scheduling you next vacation right away!

Ellie
