Happy Tuesday my loves! I can not believe we are almost through August already! Classes have started and my mind has been in a million different places because my homework has already started to pile up ( this is only day 2) *SIGH*. As all the stress of a full time job and student start to take over I'm thinking I'll be needing a vacation pretty soon. My next vacation is not scheduled until November, so until then I'll be reminiscing in my adventures in Chicago.
In my "Follow Me to: Chicago (Part 1)" blog post I shared a dressier style I wore around Millennium park & around downtown. In this part 2 blog post I wanted to share a more casual outfit that looked very touristy. After a long day of walking probably around 15 miles my feet were killing me,So I had to break out my converse. I very rarely wear sneakers but there was no way I could spend a whole day walking around in heeled booties again, especially since my feet were already so swollen.
I packed this casual style because I knew it was going to be extremely hot, I knew there was a chance of rain in the forecast, & I knew I already packed a dress and a romper so I needed something a little different. Don't get me wrong I love wearing dresses and rompers more than jeans and shorts but I would recommend going casual unless you have dinner arrangements at a fancy restaurant or a party to rush off to. For being just a tourist for a day I would say be as comfortable but stylish as needed. I loved getting dressed up but I cant tell you how many times I had to hold my dress down on Navy Pier because of the wind.
So below I'm sharing some pics of my second day in the wonderful city of Chicago. you can shop this style by clicking the links or shop tons of similar style by clicking any of the banners on the right side of my page.
Also, stay tuned for a surprise post this weekend!
XO,
Ellie
