I am not you're typical short wearing gal. I'm more or a dress or romper kind of person (if you haven't noticed by all my recent posts).
But when it comes to wearing shorts I tend to lean more toward non-denim. I like to have flowy, soft shorts. Don't get me wrong I do have a few pairs of denim shorts from Old Navy because their Boyfriend styles are actually REALLLLLY nice (and on sale!!).
There's just something so stylish about having a flowy pair (or multiple pairs) of summer ready shorts.

There are so many non-denim styles of shorts that are fun and comfortable. I actually love the paper bag style right now, but I'm also a fan of the good ole' tie waist style. I'm also a fan of all things fun colors and patterns, so really non-denim shorts are definitely for me.
I actually ran across one of the cutest pair of yellow paper bag shorts from Francesca's a few weeks ago. I was instantly drawn to the bright and bold mustard color. Then once I got a closer look into the details I knew these fun shorts had to go home with me. Plus they are super comfortable, which was something I worried about since they have a cinched waist. I'm not typically someone who likes tight waist pieces, I have big hips, so pieces that are tighter on the waist tend to make my hips look crazy big. But these shorts didn't hug my hips too tight, which I loved!
I paired these fun yellow short with a white off the shoulder top, which I found from AMAZON. Say what?! Yeah, this gorgeous little number was an Amazon find, and I am obsessed! To add some extra fun flare to this summer chic look, I wore the cutest pair of animal print wedges. I'm obsessed with this DSW find. They are a little more pricier than what I would normally spend on a pair of shoes, but I just had to get my hands on these perfect animal print shoes. They are so fabulous and go with so much. Plus if I'm ever wearing just a plain/ basic top or dress, these would really spice up the look and give it some character. To top off this look I added my all time favorite straw boater hat which I have recommended for YEARS now! It's such an inexpensive purchase and is the absolute best accessory for summer.
I'm going crazy over this seasons' trendy fabric shorts. I wanted to share a few that are my favorite right now and I know you all will love as well.
All are linked below, and if you see some you like just click the photos to shop.
I also linked my look so shopping these pieces is super easy.
Also a very special shutout to my girl Erin, over at Lucky Arrow Photography, for killing it with these absolutely amazing photos..
