It's no secret my dream home is Savannah, GA. Cameron & I have been talking about moving there for years now, but with a few bumps in the road we may not be moving there right after graduation like we had hoped. But I'm not giving up, Savannah will be my home at some point, I may just have to wait a little longer. Which will be extremely hard because I am the most impatient person EVER.
When Cameron and I first started planning this trip to Savannah, in SEPT, our intentions were to go down and check out apartments and scope out different places we'd like to live. But since we aren't 100% sure where Cameron will end up working, we are kind of playing this waiting game to see where we will end up living (fingers crossed, hopefully it will be somewhere in the south).
So a vacation that was supposed to be full of doing adult things ended up just being a vacation full of touristy things, which I'm 100% okay with. HA! We spent one day in Savannah, just walking around and stopping at all the cute little down town shops. We had lunch at a place called "Wet Willies". This would be a nice place if your into drinking, but I'm not a big drinker so I wasn't too thrilled. Cameron loved his food(fish tacos) but I would have preferred something more.. well... quaint. Don't get me wrong the food was good, but I like darling little cafes and brunch styled food.
We walked river street and down the squares. We also stopped at the "Savannah Candy Kitchen" where I became addicted to pralines. I bought over a pound of pralines and Cameron & I ate the whole box in like 4 days. I have no will power when it comes to sweet treats. I also got praline flavored ice cream to snack on while walking around Savannah because apparently eating whole pralines wasn't enough.
It was actually pretty chilly out on our first day downtown so I wore a pair of black jeans, a stripped tee, and a jean jacket. I added a classy bandanna and a chic pair of sandals all from target to really tie this simple look together. Oh and I of course couldn't vacation without my favorite straw boater hat. This all came together to create a simply stylish casual look. Perfect for a day in charming downtown Savannah.
