I'm always shopping around for the perfect dresses to add to my closet. Since the weather is slowly starting to get a little warmer here in Ohio I've been gathering dresses that will fit these early spring temperatures. I've found so many fabulous new dresses and almost all of them are midi dresses because they are perfect for this time of year.
I never thought I would have much of a liking to midi dresses. I honestly was afraid of the way the length would look on my body style, that's why I always tried to steer away from midi and go straight for maxi. I finally decided to face my fears and order a few styles from Target to see if the lengths would work with my 5'4 height.
One of the midi dresses I ordered was this gorgeous, flowy, black dress. At first I thought it looked way too long on me to be considered a "midi" but it wasn't long enough to be a "maxi" either. But once I started playing with the adjustable straps I was able to get the dress to have that perfect "midi" length.
I fell in love with this dress for so many reasons, but mostly because it is so versatile. This dress can be worn for these chillier spring days by adding a simple denim jacket or it can be worn on warmer days and add a stylish little neckerchief.
I also I fell in love with the flow factor on this dress, there is just so much room to move. I'm very picky when it comes to clothes that cling to my body, wearing this dress is just so comfortable for me.
The styling options for this fabulous black midi are endless. Add some statement jewelry to dress it up or go more casual with a belt or jacket. I went for a more simple spring look by just adding a few of my favorite spring pieces like my patterned neckerchief and straw boater hat. The shoe options are also infinite, add a pair of sandals or wedges or heels. There are literally so many options for this dress. I went with a basic pair of black mules from Target because I've been wearing them almost everywhere and I'm obsessed with this mule trend.
