Finding the perfect dresses to wear during the end of fall/ beginning of winter season is very difficult. The dress has to look good with a jacket or coat and the material needs to be pretty warm so freezing is not an option. I'm more of a jeans girl in the winter but I do love having dress options on hand so I'm not always just throwing on pants or joggers. I won't lie though, when the temperature starts to drop, that's when I start to hibernate into my pajamas almost 24/7.
Can you believe we are moving into November already?! I still can't believe it! I won't complain though because this is my all time favorite time of the year. I love the weather, I love the holidays, and I love the scenery. Watching the trees transform from lush greens to gorgeous yellows is so amazing, then soon enough we will be seeing just bare branches with inches of snow! AHH crazy! I'll just take the pretty yellows for now but I am secretly ready for the snow ;)
Most of my favorite things come in the Autumn. Falling leaves, crisp air, boots, and over-sized scarves. Ugh, just thinking that it's finally that time of year makes me so giddy!
Fall brings out so many new styles but one that will never go out of style is plaid! I would wear plaid all season long if I had enough pieces to do so, but since I don't then I have to just repeat the plaid pieces I do have.
I spend a lot of time browsing through online stores, with my busy schedule I don't really ever get to make it to the stores anymore. I normally just buy everything online and share it with you all, but I've been doing really good at not spending money on things lately. So to fill the empty void of getting a package delivered to my house almost everyday, I thought I would start a new blog series called "What's currently in my cart". Since I'm trying to save money for when I move in 8 months I thought this will help me not feel like I have to buy a new outfit every 3 days. I will of course still be doing normal fashion posts every week, but I'm going to be also sharing posts like this, where I show current styles I'm crushing on + SALE ALERTS. So, I hope you enjoy & I would love to hear feedback on if this is something y'all like!
October is here and I couldn't be more excited! I'm so ready to grab a pair of fuzzy socks and turn on Halloween Town and just relax. On the other hand I'm ready to throw on a pair of boots and go pumpkin patching. There is just so much to do it the fall that everyday I'm thinking about what fall activity I should do that evening.
Recently Cameron and I headed to a sweet little sunflower field. To tell you the truth, this little excursion did not play out how I planned. I was thinking we'd go prancing out in the field and take some pretty epic candid photos of me in the fields of flowers with the sun casting a perfect glare on the camera. What really happened was that we got there and there were hundreds of thousands of bees just flying around all over the field. So while Cameron happily climbed through the flowers I stood terrified on the outskirts of the field. Instead of these amazing pictures I was planning on having, I got forced smile pictures of me petrified of being so close to that many bees. Although I would probably refuse to go to another sunflower field again, unless it is cold enough to keep the bees away, I would say most people would really enjoy doing something like this for fall.
I wore a patched denim dress (which has become my favorite fall dress) from Forever21. I finished off the look with a pair of brown loafers (similar) from Francesca's and my go-to brown tote. This made the perfect outfit for doing a little sunflower field exploring and ice cream eating in Yellow Springs, OH.
I hope y'all have a great October & be ready for so many fall blog pots. It's the most wonderful time of the year!
